Verathon
Two views. One airway.
GlideScope Core is Verathon's hospital airway visualisation system: one touchscreen monitor with two scope inputs, so a video laryngoscope and a BFlex bronchoscope can be connected at once and viewed as picture-in-picture on the Core 10 or side by side in Dual View on the Core 15. It accepts the full GlideScope range, from single-use Spectrum QC blades to reusable Titanium blades and the Video Baton with single-use Stats. Video and snapshots record to 112 GB of internal memory, export to USB, and can be mirrored to a larger screen over HDMI.
Key specifications
Why the GlideScope Core
Pick your screen
Core 10 FHD gives a 10.1-inch, 1920 × 1200 touchscreen with picture-in-picture. Core 15 FHD gives 15.6 inches at 1920 × 1080 with side-by-side Dual View, sized for team-based care and teaching.
Laryngoscope and bronchoscope
Two inputs let clinicians switch scopes without unplugging, or run a video laryngoscope and a BFlex single-use bronchoscope together for difficult airway management.
One monitor, every blade
Spectrum QC and QC eco single-use blades, Spectrum, reusable Titanium and the Video Baton with GVL Stats all run on Core, so a hospital can mix single-use and reusable to suit its practice.
Recorded for review
Record video and snapshots to 112 GB of internal memory, add patient notes, export to a USB drive and mirror the image to a larger display over HDMI for teaching or QA.
Sharper with updates
Verathon's software update for the FHD monitors makes the image more than 30% brighter when plugged in, 20% sharper and up to 15% more colour-accurate, per the manufacturer.
Where it is used
Operating theatres, intensive care, emergency departments and difficult-airway teams in hospitals. Verathon specifies the Core for professional healthcare environments.

Core 10 or Core 15: which should we choose?
Both run the same scopes and record to 112 GB. The Core 15 FHD has a 15.6-inch screen with side-by-side Dual View for teams and teaching. The Core 10 FHD is smaller and lighter, shows the second scope as picture-in-picture, and runs longer on battery: about 135 minutes versus about 85.
Which blades fit, including paediatric sizes?
Spectrum QC and QC eco single-use blades in Hyperangle S1–S4, MAC S1–S4 and Miller S00–S2; Spectrum LoPro S1–S4, MAC S3–S4 and Miller S0–S1; reusable Titanium LoPro T2–T4 and MAC T3–T4; and the Video Baton with GVL Stats. The smaller sizes are for paediatric patients; Verathon's blade manual gives the patient range for each size.
Single-use or reusable blades: how are they reprocessed?
Spectrum and Spectrum QC blades and GVL Stats are single-use and discarded after each patient. Titanium blades and the Video Baton are reusable; Titanium blades must be cleaned and high-level disinfected between uses, following Verathon's GlideScope and GlideRite Products Reprocessing Manual.
Can we share blades with a GlideScope Go 2?
Yes. Verathon states that Spectrum QC blades are interchangeable between GlideScope Core, using a Core QuickConnect cable, and the handheld GlideScope Go 2, so one blade stock can serve theatre and transport.
