VBM
Right cuff pressure. At a glance.
VBM's Cuff Manometer combines an inflation bulb, a release valve and a colour-coded dial in one hand-held gauge connected by Luer tubing. The green zones show the recommended ranges for tracheal tubes and supraglottic airways, helping teams avoid under-inflation, linked to micro-aspiration, and over-inflation, linked to tracheal mucosal injury. It needs no power supply or batteries and is made in Germany.
Key specifications
Why the VBM Cuff Manometer
Colour shows the safe zone
Green sectors on the dial mark the recommended pressure for tracheal tubes and for supraglottic airways, so the reading is clear at a glance.
Inflate, measure, release
One hand-held unit inflates the cuff with its bulb, reads the pressure and lowers it with a release valve. A vacuum valve allows complete emptying of the cuff.
No batteries to fail
The analogue gauge works without any power supply, ready in the anaesthetic room, ICU or ambulance at any time.
Five models
Universal and Monitor with 68 mm dials, compact Pocket and Sensitive versions, and a Pediatric model scaled 0–60 cmH₂O for finer reading.
Where it is used
Operating theatres, intensive care, emergency departments and prehospital care, wherever cuffed tracheal tubes or supraglottic airways are used.
In the box
One cuff pressure gauge with 100 cm connecting tubing. Pack sizes and configurations are confirmed with the quotation.

How do I get a price?
Add the model you need to your quote list or use Request a quote, with any connecting tubing refills. We reply with pricing, lead time and documents for your country.
Which model should I choose?
Universal and Monitor have the larger 68 mm dial for bedside reading; Pocket and Sensitive are compact 50 mm versions; Pediatric reads 0–60 cmH₂O for finer resolution in small cuffs. All measure tracheal tubes and supraglottic airways.
What cuff pressure does VBM recommend?
For tracheal tubes in adults VBM cites 20–30 cmH₂O to maintain tracheal mucosal capillary blood flow, with a maximum of 30 cmH₂O. Local protocols apply.
Does it work on tracheostomy tubes?
VBM describes use with tracheal tubes and supraglottic airway devices via a Luer connection; cuffed tubes with a standard Luer pilot valve can be connected. Confirm compatibility with your tube's pilot balloon valve.
Does it need calibration or batteries?
It needs no batteries or power. Ask us for VBM's service and inspection guidance with the quotation.
