Posey
Check the cuff. No syringe needed.
The Posey Cufflator combines an inflator bulb, a red air-release button and a pressure gauge calibrated in cmH₂O, with the recommended range marked on the dial. Connected to the cuff inflation line, it inflates, deflates and reads cuff pressure in one step. With the extension tube it can hang from the bed headboard for continuous monitoring. Accuracy is ±2 cmH₂O across the range.
Key specifications
Why the Posey Cufflator
One device, three jobs
Inflate with the bulb, read the pressure on the gauge and release air with the red button, without syringes or separate connectors.
Accurate to 2 cmH₂O
TIDI states an accuracy of ±2 cmH₂O over the full range, with the recommended pressure range shown on the dial.
Continuous at the bedside
Attach the extension tube and hang the Cufflator on the headboard by its rear hook to monitor intra-cuff pressure continuously and adjust as needed.
Quick daily check
A simple functional check before each use, holding 40 cmH₂O for 2–3 seconds, confirms the gauge and tubing are not leaking.
Where it is used
Intensive care, operating theatres, emergency departments and respiratory therapy, for patients with cuffed endotracheal or tracheal tubes.

Can it be used with tracheostomy tubes?
Yes, where the tube has a high-volume, low-pressure air-filled cuff. TIDI describes it for endotracheal or tracheal tube cuffs. It must not be used with saline-filled cuffs.
How is it cleaned between patients?
Wipe all surfaces with an alcohol-based disinfectant or quaternary ammonium compound after every use and clean the face with glass cleaner only. Do not submerge or sterilise it. The connecting tubing is single use.
How do I know it is reading correctly?
Before each use, seal the connector, inflate to 40 cmH₂O and check the value stays constant for 2–3 seconds, and confirm the needle rests on zero when disconnected. Do not use it if dropped or immersed until checked.
Is there a warranty?
TIDI warrants the Cufflator against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from first use, excluding damage from drops, water immersion, misuse or heat.
