The MiniONE Balloon Button is a silicone low-profile G-tube held in the stomach by an apple-shaped balloon that expands horizontally, which AMT designed to seal the stoma and reduce leaks. AMT states its external bolster is 37% lower and its balloon 30% lower in profile than a competitor device, based on internal testing of 14 Fr devices. The feed port glows green for night-time feeds, an anti-reflux valve prevents backflow, and extension sets lock in with a three-quarter turn. It is cleared for initial placement and can be changed in a clinic or, by trained carers, at home.

How is the right size chosen?
The stoma is measured with the AMT Balloon Stoma Measuring Device at each placement, then the French size and stoma length are selected from the range: 12–24 Fr and 0.8–10 cm.
Legacy or ENFit?
Both versions are offered. ENFit order numbers end in -I and come with ENFit extension sets. AMT recommends using only AMT extension sets with its devices.
How does it compare with other balloon buttons?
In a single-centre randomised crossover study (Abdelhadi et al.), over 70% of families preferred the MiniONE to the Mic-Key, citing the smaller bolster, glow-in-the-dark port and fewer skin problems. Clinical choice remains with the treating team.
