Sage
Oral care, every four hours.
Q-Care puts a full day of ventilator oral care into one numbered kit: a covered Yankauer, suction toothbrushes and suction swabs that connect directly to standard suction lines, and a burst pouch of Corinz oral rinse with each tool. Packs are opened in sequence for each four-hour care episode (q4) or two-hour episode (q2), which helps staff follow the oral care protocol. Sage designs the tools to remove dental plaque, debris and oral secretions. Versions are available with chlorhexidine 0.12% oral rinse, untreated CHG-compatible toothbrushes and petite tools.
Key specifications
Why the Q-Care
A day of care in one kit
Numbered packs follow the oral care protocol through 24 hours, with a toothbrush or swab and its own rinse for each care episode.
Burst pouch, ready in seconds
Squeeze the pouch to release 7 mL of rinse onto the tool inside the pack, so nothing needs pouring or measuring at the bedside.
Clean and suction together
Suction toothbrushes and swabs attach directly to the suction line; covering the thumb port applies suction while brushing or swabbing.
Built for fragile mouths
Ultra-soft bristles and foam swab heads are gentle on oral tissue, and the swab's three ports keep a clear path for secretions.
Where it is used
Intensive care units, high-dependency units and any ward caring for orally intubated, mechanically ventilated patients.

Questions
Is Q-Care available in the UAE and the GCC?
KGG sources Sage Q-Care oral care systems on request for ICUs and hospitals in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, supplied subject to registration in each destination country. Availability is confirmed with each quotation.
What is the difference between q4 and q2?
Both are 24-hour kits. The q4 kit supports care every four hours (6 tool packs, 20 kits per case); the q2 kit supports care every two hours (more swab packs, 10 kits per case).
Is there a version with chlorhexidine?
Yes. Q-Care Rx kits include single-dose 0.12% chlorhexidine gluconate oral rinse with untreated toothbrushes. A CHG-compatible kit with untreated toothbrush is also made. CHG oral rinse is a medicine in many markets, so registration requirements differ.
What is in Corinz oral rinse?
Corinz is an antiseptic cleansing and moisturising oral rinse containing cetylpyridinium chloride, with xylitol and glycerin. In the EU it is classed as a cosmetic product.
What is the shelf life?
The international q4 kit (6464-X) has a 24-month shelf life from the date of manufacture.
