SAM Pelvic Sling II is a non-invasive circumferential pelvic belt intended to stabilise pelvic fractures during transport to definitive care. Its patented AutoStop buckle engages once about 150 N of circumferential pressure is reached, giving a tactile and audible click and helping to avoid over- or under-tightening. The tapered front allows urinary catheterisation, interventional radiology, external fixation and abdominal surgery without removal, and every material except the buckle's two stainless steel springs is radiolucent.

Why the SAM Pelvic Sling II

The click means correct

The AutoStop buckle releases two prongs when about 150 N is reached. Responders hear and feel the click, then fix the strap with hook-and-loop.

Leaves room to treat

The narrow, tapered front leaves access for catheterisation, interventional radiology, external fixation and abdominal surgery without removing the sling.

Easier transfers

A low-friction posterior slider makes it easier to slide the sling under a patient and move them between stretchers.

Image without removal

Radiolucent materials allow X-ray and CT with the sling in place, and it is MR Conditional at 3 T when firmly attached.

Where it is used

Ambulance and air ambulance services, emergency departments, trauma centres, military medicine and industrial or event medical teams.
