North American Rescue

One hand. Full occlusion.

The C-A-T Gen 7 stops severe arterial bleeding from an arm or leg using a windlass and a free-moving internal band that applies circumferential pressure across the full strap width. A single routing buckle speeds application and slack removal, and once bleeding stops the windlass locks into an ambidextrous clip and is secured with a writeable strap for recording the time. It has been the official tourniquet of the U.S. Army since 2005 and is recommended by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care.

Why the C-A-T Gen 7

Band within a band

A free-moving internal band distributes pressure across the full width of the strap, reducing pressure spikes at the band edges and minimising friction while tightening.

Single routing buckle

One routing point means faster application, simpler slack removal and easier training for responders who may need to self-apply.

Locked and timed

The ribbed windlass rod locks into a clip from either side, then a hook-and-loop strap secures it during evacuation. The strap can be written on to record application time.

Field-proven

Official tourniquet of the U.S. Army since 2005 and recommended by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care. The U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research found it occluded blood flow in upper and lower limbs.

Traceable supply

Counterfeit C-A-T tourniquets have been the subject of FDA warnings. Each genuine unit carries the C-A-T logo, NSN and lot number printed on the strap, so stock can be traced to its source.

Where it is used

Military and police first-aid kits, EMS and ambulance services, public-access bleeding-control stations, worksites, events and humanitarian field teams.

Questions

Is the C-A-T Gen 7 available in the UAE and the GCC?

Yes. KGG sources the C-A-T Gen 7 on request for hospitals, ambulance services, security and defence organisations, and corporate safety programmes in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, supplied subject to registration in each destination country. Availability is confirmed with each quotation.

How do I get a price?

Add the C-A-T Gen 7 to your quote list or use Request a quote. We reply with pricing, lead time and the documents available for your country.

Which colour should we order?

Tactical Black and Rescue Orange are the operational versions; orange is easier to find in a kit or on a casualty. Trainer Blue is a fully functioning unit coloured for training only and should not be stocked for real patients.

What has changed in Gen 7?

Gen 7 uses a single routing buckle in place of the earlier dual routing, which speeds application and slack removal. In 2025 the maker also introduced a new welding process for the windlass strap to improve adherence to the clip.

How can we check a tourniquet is genuine?

Genuine units have the C-A-T logo, NSN and lot number printed on the strap and come from traceable supply. Counterfeit C-A-T tourniquets have been documented by the FDA, so buyers should always ask for documented source traceability.

Do users need training?

Yes. Tourniquets should be applied by people trained in bleeding control, for example through TCCC, TECC or Stop the Bleed courses. The Trainer Blue version lets teams practise without opening operational stock.
