Clik-FIX
The first stick stays.
Clik-FIX devices stabilise the catheter at the skin so it moves less, using adhesive base pads, cushioning foam and catheter-specific locks, straps or channels. The Peripheral and All-in-One Epidural/PNB versions combine securement with a bordered transparent dressing; the PICC/Central version clicks a locking latch over the catheter wings. The range was developed by Starboard Medical and has been part of B. Braun since 2022. All devices are single use and changed at least every 7 days, or every 3 days for epidural and nerve block lines, or per facility protocol.
Key specifications
Why the Clik-FIX
One family, every line
Matched devices for peripheral IVs, PICCs, central and midline catheters, neonatal lines, Luer lock connections and tubing, and epidural or nerve block catheters.
Dressing and securement together
Clik-FIX Peripheral and the All-in-One Epidural/PNB device combine a bordered transparent dressing with securement, replacing separate tape, gauze and dressings.
A lock you can hear
On PICC/Central devices the latch folds over the catheter wings and clicks up to three times to fit the wing height. B. Braun states it withstands more than 17 lb of pull.
Soft where it sits
Foam base pads cushion under the hub or tubing to help reduce the risk of pressure injuries. The epidural/PNB and neonatal designs have no hard plastic parts.
Site stays visible
A horseshoe window on the Peripheral device and a cut-out on the epidural/PNB devices leave the insertion site in view for routine checks.
Where it is used
Inpatient wards, intensive care, vascular access teams, neonatal units, and anaesthesia, labour and acute pain services that use epidural or nerve block catheters.
In the box
Individually packed sterile, single-use devices, each with its components (for example, the Peripheral device comes with its transparent dressing, foam base pad, securement strap and extra foam tape strip). Supplied in boxes of 50, with 8 boxes (400 units) per case. Pack sizes and configurations are confirmed with the quotation.

How often should the device be changed?
B. Braun's instructions say at least every 7 days, or per facility protocol; the epidural/PNB devices at least every 3 days. Alcohol, acetone or other liquids should not be applied directly to the device, as they can weaken it.

Is Clik-FIX still supplied after B. Braun's acquisition?
Yes. B. Braun acquired the range from Starboard Medical in September 2022. The current B-suffixed codes are listed by B. Braun and shown in FDA GUDID as in commercial distribution.
