ZOLL
More flow from every compression.
The ResQPOD ITD delivers intrathoracic pressure regulation (IPR) therapy during basic or advanced life support CPR. Its valves selectively stop unnecessary air entering the chest during chest-wall recoil, deepening the vacuum that draws blood back to the heart, while ventilation and exhalation are not restricted. Timing lights flash 10 times a minute to guide ventilations at the guideline rate. It fits a face mask, supraglottic airway or endotracheal tube and works with any ventilation source.
Key specifications
Why the ResQPOD ITD
Works with every compression
During chest-wall recoil the ITD briefly blocks air entering the chest, increasing the vacuum that refills the heart before the next compression.
Ventilation stays free
Rescue breaths and exhalation pass through low-resistance valves, so ventilation is not restricted.
A rhythm for breaths
Timing lights flash 10 times a minute to guide ventilations at the guideline rate and discourage hyperventilation.
Evidence, stated plainly
ZOLL reports that with high-quality CPR, studies showed improved blood flow to the heart and brain and higher survival from cardiac arrest.
Where it is used
EMS and fire services, emergency departments, hospital resuscitation teams and military medicine, alongside manual or automated CPR.

Questions
Is the ResQPOD ITD available in the UAE and the GCC?
KGG sources the ZOLL ResQPOD ITD on request for EMS, hospital and military buyers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, supplied subject to registration in each destination country. Availability is confirmed with each quotation.
What is the difference between the ITD 10 and the ITD 16?
ZOLL's current materials describe the ResQPOD ITD 16 (order 12-0247-000). The earlier ITD 10 no longer appears on ZOLL's pages. We confirm which model is available for your country with the quotation.
Which airways does it fit?
ZOLL states it is compatible with all airway adjuncts and ventilation sources, including a face mask, supraglottic airway or endotracheal tube, and with automated CPR devices.
Does it replace good-quality CPR?
No. It is an adjunct. ZOLL notes the benefit depends on high-quality CPR: correct compression rate and depth, full recoil and a high compression fraction.
Is it reusable?
No. Each ResQPOD is a single-use, disposable device for one patient.
