Both mattresses contain polystyrene beads between welded PVC sheets. Once the patient is positioned and the air is removed with a hand pump, the mattress becomes a rigid shell that follows the body. The compact RES-Q-MATT has a removable nylon outer cover with eight handles and suits stretchers and vehicles with little storage space. The RES-Q-MATT PLUS is the larger full-body version with eight padded handles built into its edges. Both carry 150 kg and use a chromed brass on/off valve.

Why the RES-Q-MATT
Moulds, then holds
The polystyrene beads follow the patient's shape; when the air is pumped out they lock into a rigid shell for whole-body immobilisation during transport.
Compact for stretchers
The 80 cm-wide RES-Q-MATT is sized to sit on ambulance stretchers and to store where space is short, with a removable cover for cleaning.
Full-size PLUS
The RES-Q-MATT PLUS is 214 × 94 cm and weighs about 5 kg. Spencer states its material keeps its mechanical resistance across extreme temperatures.
Durable valve
Both use a chromed brass on/off valve with a built-in tube fitting, compatible with Spencer's aluminium and ABS hand pumps.

Supplied subject to registration in each destination country (MOHAP, DoH, DHA, SFDA or the equivalent authority). What is the difference between RES-Q-MATT and RES-Q-MATT PLUS?
RES-Q-MATT is the compact version, 206 × 80 cm, with a removable nylon cover, in orange or yellow. RES-Q-MATT PLUS is the full-size version, 214 × 94 cm, with padded handles built into the edges. Both carry 150 kg.
Is a pump included?
Not with the mattress codes. Spencer offers kits with a transport bag and either the QMX 109 ABS pump or the QMX 120 aluminium pump; pumps and bags can also be ordered separately.
How is it cleaned?
The RES-Q-MATT outer cover is removable to make cleaning easier. Follow Spencer's user manual for approved detergents and disinfectants.
Can a damaged mattress be repaired?
Spencer sells the QMX 199 repair kit with four PVC patches and glue for small punctures in vacuum mattresses and vacuum splints.
