Siren
Early warning for the feet.
Siren Socks use microsensors built into the fabric, which Siren calls Neurofabric, to measure foot temperature continuously while they are worn; a rising temperature can indicate developing inflammation that may be a sign of injury. Data passes through a plug-in Siren Hub, with no smartphone and no charging needed, and is reviewed by Siren's licensed nurses, who call patients and alert the treating provider. In the USA the socks are prescribed by a Certified Siren Provider and run as a remote patient monitoring service, with replacement socks sent automatically.

Why the Siren Socks
Temperature tells
A rise in foot temperature can signal inflammation before an injury is felt. Siren cites a 2004 Diabetes Care study in which temperature monitoring reduced diabetic foot ulcers by up to 87.5%.
Nothing to manage
No smartphone, no charging: the patient wears the socks, plugs in the hub, and washes the socks in the machine. Worn-out socks are replaced automatically.
Nurses on watch
Siren's licensed nurses review the temperature data, call patients who may be at risk and alert the provider, who decides whether a clinic visit is needed.
One platform
The Siren Hub connects the socks, and other Siren devices, to one platform with a dashboard for the treating clinician.
Where it is used
Podiatry and diabetic foot practices in the USA running remote monitoring for people with diabetes and neuropathy.

Questions
Are Siren Socks available in the UAE and the GCC?
KGG sources Siren Socks on request for diabetic foot clinics and hospitals in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, supplied subject to registration in each destination country. Siren currently runs the socks as a US monitoring service, so availability outside the USA is confirmed with each quotation.
Can the socks be bought without the monitoring service?
Siren supplies the socks through a prescription from a Certified Siren Provider as part of its monitoring programme, with nurses reviewing the data. A standalone version is not offered on siren.care.
Does the patient need a smartphone?
No. The data is sent through the Siren Hub, which plugs into a wall outlet.
Do the socks need charging or special washing?
No charging is needed, and the socks are machine washable. Siren replaces them automatically when they wear down.
Who looks at the data?
Siren's licensed nurses review the temperature data and contact patients at risk. The treating provider is alerted and decides on any clinic visit.
