Eversense
One sensor. One year.
Eversense 365 pairs a small sensor, inserted under the skin of the upper arm by a healthcare provider in a brief in-office procedure, with a removable smart transmitter worn over it. The transmitter sends glucose data to the Eversense app every five minutes and gives on-body vibration alerts even when the phone is not nearby. Fingerstick calibration is needed once a week after day 13, and the transmitter can be taken off and reattached without wasting the sensor.
Key specifications
Why the Eversense 365
A year per sensor
One implanted sensor measures glucose for up to 365 days, compared with the 10 to 15 days of conventional wearable sensors, so there is no fortnightly sensor change.
Remove without waste
The smart transmitter can be taken off and put back at any time except during calibration, without wasting the sensor. No glucose data is collected while it is off.
Alerts on the body
The transmitter vibrates to alert the wearer even when the phone is out of reach. Senseonics reports almost no false alerts from compression lows during sleep.
Weekly calibration
Fingerstick calibration drops to once a week after day 13, compared with once a day for the previous Eversense E3.
Gentle on skin
The adhesive is silicone-based and changed daily over the transmitter, not over a sensor wire, and Senseonics reports almost no skin reactions.
Where it is used
Diabetes and endocrinology clinics, with sensor insertion and removal performed by a trained healthcare provider in an outpatient setting.
In the box
Smart transmitter with its charging cable and adapter, and a supply of adhesive patches; the sensor and insertion kit are supplied for the clinic procedure. Pack sizes and configurations are confirmed with the quotation.

Questions
Is the Eversense 365 available in the UAE and the GCC?
KGG sources Eversense 365 on request for diabetes centres and hospitals in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, supplied subject to registration in each destination country. Senseonics sells directly in the USA and Europe and through distributors elsewhere, so availability is confirmed with each quotation.
How is the sensor placed?
A healthcare provider inserts the sensor under the skin of the upper arm in a brief in-office procedure, and removes it the same way at the end of its life. Clinics need trained staff for both steps.
Does it still need fingerstick tests?
Yes, for calibration once a week after day 13. A fingerstick is also needed when symptoms do not match the CGM reading and when the user is taking tetracycline-class medicines.
How is it different from the Eversense E3?
The E3 sensor lasts 180 days with daily calibration after day 21. Eversense 365 doubles sensor life to a full year and needs calibration only once a week.
Can the transmitter get wet?
Yes. The transmitter is rated IP67 and can be submerged to 1 m for up to 30 minutes, so showering and swimming are fine. Exposure beyond this can damage it.
