Tasso
Blood collection, anywhere.
Tasso devices stick to the upper arm with a light adhesive. Pressing the button creates a vacuum and a lancet pricks the skin; the vacuum draws capillary blood into a tube or cartridge attached below. Tasso+ collects liquid whole blood into standard collection tubes, while Tasso Mini suits higher-frequency sampling and, with the Tile-T20 cartridge, volumetric dried samples.
Key specifications
Why the Tasso+
Upper-arm collection
A light adhesive holds the button in place while vacuum draws capillary blood, avoiding a venepuncture needle and a fingerstick.
Standard tubes
Tasso+ fills standard collection tubes, so samples are processed according to the tube manufacturer's instructions.
Dried, volumetric samples
Tasso Mini with the Tile-T20 cartridge collects four 17.5 µL dried samples with a coefficient of variation below 5%.
Designed for self-collection
Instructions and packaging were usability-tested with participants who had no medical training.
Where it is used
Decentralised clinical trials, pharmacokinetic studies, population health programmes, telehealth testing and paediatric research.

Questions
Is the Tasso+ available in the UAE and the GCC?
KGG sources Tasso devices and kits on request for laboratories, research organisations and healthcare providers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, supplied subject to registration in each destination country. Availability is confirmed with each quotation.
How much blood does Tasso+ collect?
Tasso states that volume depends on the tube used and averages 200–600 µL. Tasso Mini volume depends on the reservoir; the Tile-T20 collects four 17.5 µL dried samples.
What happened to the Tasso-M20?
Dried capillary sampling is now offered as Tasso Mini with the Tile-T20 cartridge. Tasso recommends using the T20 with Tasso Mini and will not release Tasso+ T20 kits.
Can patients use it at home?
Yes, where the testing programme allows it. Tasso's instructions were usability-tested with people who had no medical training, and kits can include return packaging.
Which tests can be run on the samples?
That depends on the laboratory's validation. Tasso works with preferred laboratories and can help a customer's laboratory set up processing; dried samples are used for PK and therapeutic drug monitoring.
