embrace
Less tension. Less scar.
embrace is an elastomeric silicone dressing that is stretched on its applicator and released onto the skin, where it delivers a constant compressive force that relieves tension across the healing scar. It is applied once the incision is closed, dry and scab-free, typically 2–4 weeks after suture removal. Each dressing lasts an average of 10 days, and treatment is continued for two months for best results. It is indicated for the management of closed hypertrophic and keloid scars.
Key specifications
Why the embrace
Tension relief, not just sheeting
The dressing is pre-stretched on its applicator, so once applied it actively pulls the skin inward and shields the scar from the tension that drives thick, raised scarring.
Applied in three steps
Position the applicator over the scar, press for 60 seconds, then pull the tabs to release the dressing. No creams or gels are needed.
Ten days per dressing
Each dressing lasts an average of 10 days and is water-resistant for showering, so a two-month course needs only a handful of applications.
Sizes for every incision
Four lengths from 4 to 16 cm cover facial, breast, abdominal and limb incisions; longer scars use dressings placed end to end.
Where it is used
Plastic and aesthetic surgery, breast and abdominal surgery, caesarean section and general surgery clinics, from the first post-operative weeks, with patients continuing treatment at home.

Add it to your quote list or use Request a quote. We reply with pricing, lead time and the documents available for your country.
When can treatment start?
Once sutures are removed and the incision is closed, dry and scab-free, typically 2–4 weeks after suture removal. It must not be used on open incisions, injuries or abraded skin.
How is it different from silicone gel sheets?
Standard silicone sheets are static. embrace is pre-stretched, so it actively offloads tension across the scar while also providing a silicone dressing environment.
How many dressings are needed?
Each dressing lasts about 10 days and the recommended course is two months, so a typical course uses around six dressings per scar length; longer scars need several dressings side by side.
Can it be used in hot, humid climates?
The dressing is water-resistant, but the maker notes wear time may be shorter with high mobility, oily skin or frequent cleansing. Skin should be fully dry and free of lotion before application.
