Clozex
Close the wound. Skip the stitch.
Clozex closures use two clear adhesive pads placed 1–2 mm either side of the wound, linked by interlaced filament straps. Pulling the tabs brings the skin edges together and locks them in place, distributing tension away from the wound edge without puncturing the skin. Closures come in lengths from 15 to 100 mm and can be combined in series to follow longer or curved incisions. The device stays in place for 7 to 10 days, then loosens and is removed along the line of the wound.
Key specifications
Why the Clozex
No needles, no punctures
Adhesive pads sit beside the wound rather than through it, so the skin is not punctured and there are no sutures or staples to remove.
Edges set under control
Pulling the strap tabs draws both edges together evenly and the interlaced straps lock them, letting the clinician fine-tune alignment.
Sizes for any incision
Ten sizes from 15 to 100 mm, in small and large strap formats, can be combined in series for long or curved incisions.
Falls away when done
The device is worn for 7 to 10 days, then loosens and is lifted off along the line of the wound.
Where it is used
Operating theatres across surgical specialities, emergency departments and urgent care for lacerations, and in paediatrics where avoiding needles matters.

How do I get a price?
Add it to your quote list or use Request a quote. We reply with pricing, lead time and the documents available for your country.
Which size should I choose?
Match the closure length to the wound: small strap sizes from 15 to 40 mm and large strap sizes from 40 to 100 mm. Longer or curved wounds can be closed with several devices in series.
How long does it stay on?
7 to 10 days. After that the hold weakens and the device can be removed by pulling gently along the length of the wound, never across it.
Can patients shower?
Brief showers are allowed from day 2, avoiding direct water pressure on the device. Baths, swimming and hot tubs should be avoided while it is in place.
How does it compare with skin glue or strips?
Clozex uses adhesive pads with interlaced straps that let the clinician pull and lock the edges together, rather than relying on glue or simple tape alone. Choice depends on wound site, tension and clinician preference.
