Nihon Kohden
Ready. And always reporting in.
The cardiolife AED-3100 switches on when the lid opens and guides the rescuer by voice: attach the pads, let it analyse, press the flashing shock button. Nihon Kohden's continuous VT/VF analysis reviews the ECG during CPR and starts charging before a shock is advised, with under 15 seconds from power-on to discharge. A child switch drops the energy to 50–70 J without changing pads. With cardiolife connect, a communication module reports daily self-tests, pad and battery expiry, use and GPS location to a web dashboard and the CardiLink app.
Key specifications
Why the cardiolife AED-3100
Three steps, spoken
Opening the lid turns it on and starts the voice prompts. Attach the colour-coded pads, the AED analyses the rhythm, and the shock button flashes only when a shock is advised.
Analysis during CPR
Continuous VT/VF analysis reviews the ECG while compressions continue and charges in the background, so a shock can follow quickly when CPR pauses.
Adults and children
A child switch reduces the energy sequence to 50–70–70 J on the same pads, so there is no separate paediatric pad to stock or find.
Built for the outdoors
IP66 protection, a −5 to +50 °C operating range and vibration testing to MIL-STD-810F and EN 1789, in a 2.3 kg body about 40 % smaller than the AED-2100K.
Monitored around the clock
cardiolife connect sends self-test results, pad and battery expiry, use events and GPS location to a dashboard and app, with geofence alerts if the AED leaves its site.
Where it is used
Public-access sites such as offices, schools, malls, mosques, sports venues and transport hubs, workplaces and fleets, and clinics that want a simple, monitored AED.

How do I get a price?
Add the AED-3100 to your quote list or use Request a quote. We reply with pricing, lead time and the documents for your country, and can include spare pads, batteries, cabinets and the cardiolife connect module.
What does cardiolife connect add?
A communication module and web dashboard that report daily and monthly self-tests, pad and battery expiry, when the AED is switched on, and its GPS location. Alerts go by email, SMS or messenger, and the CardiLink app shows the fleet on a phone.
Can it be used on children?
Yes. Set the adult/child switch to child and the AED delivers 50–70–70 J through the same P-740K pads. No pad change is needed.
Will it cope with Gulf heat?
Nihon Kohden specifies operation and installation from −5 to +50 °C and storage from −20 to +70 °C. For outdoor sites, a shaded or climate-protected cabinet keeps it within that range.
How often do pads and battery need replacing?
The SB-310V battery has a 4-year standby life once installed and a 6-year shelf life from manufacture. Pads carry their own expiry date, which the AED checks daily and cardiolife connect can report.
