MIR
Spirometry that travels.
All three use MIR's bi-directional digital turbine (±16 L/s) and comply with ATS/ERS 2005 with the 2019 update, ISO 26782 and ISO 23747. Spirobank Smart is a 61 g Bluetooth spirometer that shows results in the MIR Spirobank app for home monitoring, telehealth and clinical trials. Spirobank II Smart works stand-alone, with a PC over USB or a tablet over Bluetooth, with optional spot oximetry. Spirodoc adds a touchscreen and optional 3D oximetry for six-minute walk tests, sleep tests and 24-hour SpO₂ Holter recordings.
Key specifications
Why the MIR Spirobank and Spirodoc
One turbine, three formats
The same bi-directional digital turbine runs through the range, from the app-based Spirobank Smart to the multiplatform Spirobank II Smart and the touchscreen Spirodoc.
Built for guidelines
MIR states compliance with ATS/ERS 2005 and its 2019 update, ISO 26782 and ISO 23747, with GLI and ERS predicted values on device, tablet and PC.
Disposable or reusable
FlowMIR disposable turbines are factory-calibrated and individually packed with a mouthpiece; reusable turbines are disinfected between patients and used with filters.
More than spirometry
With the oximetry option, Spirodoc runs six-minute walk tests, sleep tests and 24-hour SpO₂ Holter recordings, recording movement with a tri-axial accelerometer.
Where it is used
Primary care, respiratory and occupational health clinics, paediatrics, sports medicine, screening programmes, home monitoring, telehealth and clinical trials.

Questions
Are MIR Spirobank and Spirodoc spirometers available in the UAE and the GCC?
KGG sources MIR Spirobank and Spirodoc spirometers, turbines and filters on request for clinics, hospitals and screening programmes in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, supplied subject to registration in each destination country. Availability is confirmed with each quotation.
Which model should we choose?
Spirobank Smart suits app-based home monitoring and telehealth. Spirobank II Smart suits clinics that want stand-alone, PC or tablet use with optional oximetry. Spirodoc suits respiratory services that also need 6-minute walk, sleep or 24-hour SpO₂ tests.
Do the turbines need calibration?
MIR states that calibration is not required for either turbine type, though it can be checked via software. FlowMIR disposable turbines are factory-calibrated and individually packed.
Can results go into our EMR?
Yes. MIR Spiro software integrates with EMR/EHR systems using HL7, GDT, FHIR or an exchange protocol.
Can we use non-MIR turbines?
MIR warns that non-original turbines may compromise measurement accuracy and patient safety. We supply original MIR turbines and filters.
