Kardia
Twelve leads. One cable.
Kardia 12L records four standard diagnostic-bandwidth leads through one cable and five electrodes, derives the four limb leads, and synthesises the remaining chest leads with a machine-learning model to build a 12-lead ECG in the KardiaStation app. The KAI 12L algorithm reports rhythm and morphology determinations, including acute MI, with interval measurements for physician review. The module weighs 81.5 g and runs on two AAA batteries.
Key specifications
Why the Kardia 12L
One cable, five electrodes
A single lead wire with five electrode positions replaces the ten electrodes of a conventional 12-lead set-up, with no tangle of wires to prepare.
AI read, physician review
KAI 12L provides rhythm and morphology determinations, including acute MI, with interval measurements. Results are provisional until reviewed by a physician qualified to interpret ECGs.
Two analysis modes
Symptomatic mode increases detection of MI and ischaemia; asymptomatic mode reduces false-positive determinations. The app can recommend a lead set from the patient's symptoms.
Built for transport
Rated −10 to +40 °C and up to 5,000 m, and qualified for fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, it suits ambulances and transfer teams.
Where it is used
Doctors' offices, hospitals, urgent care, acute settings, home and community health and medical transport, for adult patients.

How do I get a price?
Add it to your quote list or use Request a quote. We reply with pricing, lead time and documents for your country.
How does it differ from a conventional 12-lead ECG?
Four leads are measured, four limb leads are derived and four chest leads are synthesised by software. AliveCor states the synthesised leads are not for diagnostic use and the device is not a substitute for a diagnostic 12-lead ECG or for ruling out any condition.
How does it relate to KardiaMobile 6L and KardiaMobile Card?
KardiaMobile 6L and KardiaMobile Card are AliveCor's compact single- and six-lead recorders, listed separately on our site. Kardia 12L is the professional 12-lead resting ECG with its own KardiaStation app.
Which phones and tablets does it work with?
Kardia 12L needs the KardiaStation app on a compatible iOS or Android device; AliveCor keeps the current list at alivecor.com/compatibility/pro. We confirm compatibility for your devices with the quotation.
Can it be used in Gulf heat?
The IFU rates operation from −10 to +40 °C, briefly up to +50 °C for 20 minutes, and storage from −18 to +55 °C. Avoid leaving it in parked vehicles in summer sun.
