VeinVu
See the vein. First time.
VeinVu 200 lights the skin with 850 nm near-infrared light, detects the veins below and projects their image back onto the same spot with a DLP projector, without touching the patient. It mounts on a table stand or clamp at about 40 cm, leaving both hands free for the needle. An HD mode gives a finer view for children and the face, and a calibration function keeps the projected image aligned with the real vessels.
Key specifications
Why the VeinVu 200
Veins on the skin
The vein map is projected onto the skin over the vessels, so the clinician looks at the patient, not at a separate screen.
Both hands free
Mounted on a stand or clamp at about 40 cm, VeinVu leaves both hands for the tourniquet, cannula and dressing, and never touches the patient.
HD for small veins
A precision mode gives a finer image for infants, children and facial work, where veins are small and hard to see.
Calibrated to the vessel
A calibration card and function align the projection with the real veins; Majutech states display accuracy within 200 µm.
Where it is used
Wards, emergency departments, paediatrics, phlebotomy and blood donation, oncology day units, aesthetic clinics for filler and injection planning, and clinical skills training.
