iTClamp
Close the wound. Hold the pressure.
The iTClamp seals the edges of a wound closed. Small suture needles evert the skin edges between two pressure bars and anchor the clamp, while an adjustable one-way lock sets the pressure needed for a fluid-tight seal. Blood pools beneath the closed skin as a contained haematoma under pressure, allowing a stable clot to form until surgical repair. It is applied in seconds and is not intended for internal bleeding into the chest or abdomen.
Key specifications
Why the iTClamp
Seals the wound edges
Pressure bars close the skin over the wound so bleeding is contained beneath it, where a stable clot can form until surgical repair.
For hard-to-pack sites
Cleared for the scalp and neck as well as the limbs, axilla and groin, where tourniquets cannot be used.
Applied in seconds
The maker states the clamp is applied in a matter of seconds with minimal pain. An adjustable one-way lock sets the pressure, and a release mechanism allows removal.
Included in TCCC guidance
The maker describes the iTClamp as TCCC-recommended; it was added to TCCC guidance for craniomaxillofacial and penetrating neck haemorrhage in 2019 (Proposed Change 19-04).
Where it is used

Questions
Is the iTClamp available in the UAE and the GCC?
KGG sources the iTClamp on request for EMS, military and hospital buyers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, supplied subject to registration in each destination country and to the maker's current supply. Availability is confirmed with each quotation.
Where on the body can it be used?
It is cleared for the temporary control of severe bleeding in the extremities, axilla, inguinal areas, scalp and neck. It is not intended for internal bleeding into the chest or abdomen.
Does it replace a tourniquet?
No. It is a different tool. A tourniquet controls limb bleeding above the wound; the iTClamp closes the wound edges and is designed for sites such as the scalp, neck and junctional areas where a tourniquet cannot be applied. Follow your service protocol.
How is it removed?
The clamp has a lock release mechanism. Removal is normally done by clinicians once surgical repair is ready, following the maker's removal guide.
What is the shelf life?
The 2015 FDA 510(k) summary states a shelf life of 4 years. Each tray carries its own expiry date, which we confirm with the quotation.
