microINR

INR from one drop.

The microINR system pairs a handheld meter with single-use microINR Chips. Each chip holds two microcapillary channels: a measuring channel with human recombinant thromboplastin and a parallel control channel, watched by the meter's machine-vision system as the blood clots. Lot calibration is read from a Datamatrix printed on every chip, so no code chip is needed. The family covers the microINR meter, the Bluetooth microINR Link and the touchscreen microINR Expert for professional near-patient testing.

Why the microINR

One drop, one minute

Insert a chip, apply 3 µL of fingerstick blood after the 80-second countdown, and the INR appears in under a minute with no buttons to press.

QC on every chip

A parallel control channel checks reagent integrity in each test, alongside the meter's multilevel on-board quality control.

No code chips

Lot calibration (ISI and MNPT) and expiry are printed on each chip as a Datamatrix, so every test calibrates itself.

Three meters, one chip

The microINR suits self-testing patients, the Link adds Bluetooth result transfer, and the Expert adds touchscreen, barcode ID and Wi-Fi or Ethernet for clinics.

Room-temperature chips

Chips are stored at 2–25 °C and keep for 15 months, with no refrigeration step before testing.

Where it is used

Anticoagulation clinics, cardiology and GP practices, pharmacies, home care and patient self-testing prescribed by a doctor.
