HoverMatt

Move patients on air.

The HoverMatt SPU is placed under the patient and inflated by a HoverTech air supply. Air escapes through holes on the underside, creating a cushion that lets caregivers slide the patient laterally or reposition them in bed with far less force and less skin shear. Its breathable textiles allow it to stay under the patient between tasks, and it is compatible with low air loss beds, radiology and, with a specialty hose, MRI. Being single-patient use, it removes laundering and cross-contamination logistics.

Why the HoverMatt SPU

80–90% less force

A cushion of air beneath the inflated mattress cuts the force needed to move a patient by 80–90%, so caregivers transfer without lifting or straining.

Stays under the patient

Breathable textiles let the mattress remain under the patient between transfers, turns and boosts; independent testing supports low air loss bed compatibility.

Less shear, more dignity

The inflated mattress cradles the patient in a stable position during moves, reducing skin shear and bruising.

One device, many tasks

Rated to 544 kg, it supports lateral transfers, boosting, turning and air-assisted proning, and travels with the patient to radiology and theatre.

Where it is used

ICUs, emergency departments, operating theatres and PACU, radiology, bariatric care, medical-surgical wards and long-term care.

Questions

Is the HoverMatt SPU available in the UAE and the GCC?

KGG sources the HoverMatt SPU and HoverTech air supplies on request for hospitals and long-term care facilities in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, supplied subject to registration in each destination country. Availability is confirmed with each quotation.

Do I need an air supply?

Yes. The mattress is inflated by a HoverTech air supply (Air200G, Air400G, HT-Air 1200 or 2300), sold separately. One air supply can serve a whole unit.

How many staff are needed?

HoverTech requires at least two caregivers for air-assisted lateral transfers. In-bed positioning tasks may need more than one caregiver; never leave a patient unattended on an inflated mattress.

Can it go into MRI?

The mattress is non-ferrous and MR conditional by rationale when used with the 25 ft specialty MRI hose. The air supply and standard hose are MR Unsafe and must stay outside the MRI room.

What is the difference from the reusable HoverMatt?

The SPU is single-patient use and breathable, so it can stay under the patient, with no laundering. The reusable HoverMatt is a launderable transfer mattress for repeated use across patients.
