Getinge
Ventilation that moves with you.
The Servo-air generates its own breathing gas with a built-in turbine, so it needs no compressed air or wall gas and can run on battery when moving patients within the hospital. Oxygen is added from a wall outlet or a cylinder, set from 21 to 100%. It delivers invasive ventilation and, as options, NIV and High Flow therapy through the same breathing circuit, with only the patient interface changed. The interface, expiratory cassette and service structure are shared with the Servo-u, which makes it a natural backup or step-down ventilator in a Servo fleet.
Key specifications
Why the Servo-air
Its own air supply
A quiet, powerful turbine generates up to 240 l/min of flow and compensates for circuit leaks, so the Servo-air runs without compressed air or wall gas. Oxygen is added from a wall outlet or cylinder when needed.
Keeps ventilating on the move
Two hot-swappable lithium-ion batteries give about four hours of backup and can be changed during intra-hospital transport. Remaining power is shown in minutes, not per cent.
One circuit, three therapies
Invasive ventilation, NIV and High Flow therapy use the same breathing circuit; only the patient interface changes. High Flow can be reached without going to Standby, and the Aerogen nebuliser works during it.
Lung protection, simply
VT/PBW is calculated and trended automatically, Servo Compass shows when driving pressure or tidal volume is off target, and Automode steps the patient from controlled to supported breaths.
Part of the Servo fleet
The Servo-air shares its user interface, interchangeable expiratory cassette and service structure with the Servo-u, so staff training and spare parts carry across a mixed fleet.
Where it is used
Adult and paediatric ICUs, intermediate care and high-dependency units, emergency departments, intra-hospital transfers and surge or backup capacity where compressed air is limited.
In the box

Questions
Is the Getinge Servo-air available in the UAE and the GCC?
KGG sources the Servo-air on request for hospitals, ICUs and emergency departments in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, supplied subject to registration in each destination country. Availability, configuration and lead time are confirmed with each quotation.
How do I get a price?
Add it to your quote list or use Request a quote. We reply with pricing, lead time and the documents for your country, and can quote the second battery, mobile cart and NIV, High Flow and CO₂ options with it.
Does it need wall oxygen or compressed air?
No compressed air: the turbine draws filtered room air. For oxygen above 21%, connect an O₂ supply at 2–6 bar from a wall outlet or cylinder; a cylinder restrainer kit fits the cart. O₂ can be set from 21 to 100%.
How long does it run on battery, and in what conditions?
Getinge states about two hours per new, fully charged battery and four hours with two, depending on settings. Batteries can be swapped during transport. Rated operating range is 10–40 °C, so avoid leaving it in hot vehicles or loading bays.
Can it ventilate neonates, and is there a non-invasive-only version?
No neonatal use: it covers children from 5 kg and adults. For NIV-only use, Getinge lists the Servo-air NIV internationally and the FDA-cleared Servo-air Lite in the US. This page is for the standard Servo-air.
How does it compare with the Servo-u and Servo-c?
The Servo-u and Servo-c add tools such as Open Lung Tool trends and neonatal options, and the Servo-u adds NAVA and Edi. The Servo-air trades these for a built-in turbine and mobility, with the same Servo interface and expiratory cassette.
