Getinge
Compact. Nothing left out.
Flow-c is the compact, easy-to-use member of Getinge's Flow family, made by Maquet Critical Care in Sweden. Getinge states that, despite its small size, it carries all Flow family innovations: a circle system with Volume Reflector, a Servo-controlled ventilator and fresh gas delivery from 0.1 l/min, an electronic injector vaporiser, O2Guard and MAC Brain as standard, and Automatic Gas Control and lung recruitment as options. A 15-inch touchscreen, 215 cm of multipurpose rails, a large drawer with slots for spare vaporisers and a central four-wheel brake suit crowded hospital theatres and ambulatory surgery centres.
Key specifications
Why the Flow-c
The full toolkit, smaller
Flow-c shares the Flow family's Volume Reflector circle system, Servo-controlled fresh gas delivery and electronic vaporiser, with O2Guard and MAC Brain as standard, in a compact cart with a 697 × 863 mm base.
Low flow made simple
Fresh gas can be set from 0.1 l/min. Automatic Gas Control (option) adjusts flows to reach target inspired oxygen and end-tidal agent levels at the chosen speed, so low-flow anaesthesia needs fewer manual adjustments.
Grows with your caseload
Pressure Control, Pressure Support, PRVC, SIMV, low tidal volumes for infants and high-performance ventilation up to 2,000 ml and 120 cmH2O are software options, added when the case mix requires them.
Built for the busy OR
215 cm of multipurpose rails, snap-on hooks, a large drawer with spare-vaporiser slots and an optional lock, covered cable and hose routing, USB ports, dimmable LED light and a central four-wheel brake.
Ready for power cuts
An 18 Ah battery runs the system for approximately 90 minutes, with alarms when less than 18 and 3 minutes remain. Backup O2, Air or N2O cylinders can be added as an option.
Where it is used
Hospital operating rooms and ambulatory surgery centres with busy schedules, for neonatal to adult patients. Getinge positions the larger Flow-i for highly specialised procedures and the Flow-e where more worktop and storage are needed.
In the box
Flow-c anaesthesia system with 15-inch control panel, patient cassette, one electronic vaporiser and CO2 absorber (the nominal configuration in Getinge's datasheet). Automatic Gas Control, lung recruitment, extended ventilation modes, additional fresh gas outlet, backup gas rack and auxiliary power outlets are options. Configuration is confirmed with the quotation.
Clearance & compliance
FDA 510(k) cleared: K191027 (Flow-i/Flow-c/Flow-e Anesthesia System 4.7, 18 Mar 2020) · classified IIb under EU Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC in Getinge's Flow-c datasheet (system version 4.5); current EU MDR certificate not shown publicly. Supplied subject to registration in each destination country (MOHAP, DoH, DHA, SFDA or the equivalent authority). Certificates, declarations of conformity, IFUs and registration documents are provided with every quotation. Specifications are indicative and subject to manufacturer change.

Questions
Is the Flow-c available in the UAE and the GCC?
KGG sources the Flow-c on request for hospitals, day-surgery and ambulatory surgery centres in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, supplied subject to registration in each destination country. Availability is confirmed with each quotation.
How do I get a price?
Add it to your quote list or use Request a quote. We reply with pricing, lead time and the documents for your country, and can include options such as Automatic Gas Control, extended ventilation modes and backup gas.
How does Flow-c differ from Flow-i?
Flow-c is the compact model: one active vaporiser slot instead of two, one drawer, and standard ranges of 50–1,600 ml and 0–80 cmH2O, extendable by option. Flow-i has the widest ranges as standard and comes height-adjustable or ceiling-mounted. Both share the same 15-inch interface and core safety tools.
Can Flow-c be used for neonates and children?
Yes. Getinge gives a patient range of neonatal to adult. With the Low VT option, infant tidal volumes start at 20 ml in volume control (5 ml in pressure control with 10–12 mm circuits); without it, the infant range starts at 50 ml.
Will it cope with Gulf operating theatre conditions?
Getinge specifies operation at +15 to +35 °C (desflurane up to +30 °C) and 15–95% relative humidity without condensation. Air-conditioned theatres are within range; CO2 absorbers should be stored at 0–35 °C.
How long does the battery last?
Approximately 90 minutes from a fully charged 18 Ah battery, with a recharge time of about six hours. The system alarms when less than 18 minutes and again when less than 3 minutes of battery operation remain.
