CIVCO / Parker Laboratories
Clean contact. Every scan.
Handheld ultrasound moves from bed to bed, so barrier protection and coupling gel matter as much as the probe. CIVCO CIV-Flex covers are single-use, not made with natural rubber latex, and come in sterile kits with a gel packet and elastic bands, including a cover sized for wireless probes. Parker's Aquasonic 100 and Aquasonic Clear are water-soluble, non-staining gels, and Sterile Aquasonic 100 comes in single-use foil pouches for procedures that need sterility.
Key specifications
Why the POCUS probe covers and gel
Covers for wireless probes
CIVCO 610-1212 is a sterile CIV-Flex cover sized for wireless transducers, with a telescopic fold for easy gel application and placement, supplied with a gel packet and elastic bands.
A length for every job
CIV-Flex general-purpose covers run from 12 to 96 inches, in sterile kits or non-sterile bulk packs, for routine puncture, drainage and interventional work.
Gel that wipes away
Aquasonic 100 is fully aqueous and water-soluble, so it cleans off skin and probes without staining clothing or damaging transducers.
Sterile when it counts
Parker states multi-use gel is not for needle procedures or broken skin. Sterile Aquasonic 100 comes in individually overwrapped, single-use foil pouches for procedures that need sterility.
A clear option
Aquasonic Clear uses the Aquasonic 100 formula without colour or fragrance, for clinicians and patients who prefer an uncoloured gel.
Where it is used
Emergency departments, ICUs, wards, ambulances and clinics running handheld POCUS, plus vascular access and other ultrasound-guided procedures.

Questions
Is the POCUS probe covers and gel range available in the UAE and the GCC?

How do I get a price?
Add it to your quote list or use Request a quote. We reply with pricing, lead time and documents for your country.
Do CIVCO covers fit the Butterfly iQ3 or other handheld probes?
CIVCO lists its 610-1212 cover for Siemens Freestyle and Clarius C3, C7 and L7 probes. It does not name Butterfly, Lumify or Vscan, so we confirm the cover size against your probe model before quoting.
When do I need sterile gel?
Parker's IFU says multi-use gel should not be used for procedures where a device passes through tissue, on broken skin or mucous membranes, or for critically ill or severely immunocompromised patients. Sterile single-use pouches suit those cases.
Do probe covers prevent infection?
CIVCO reports independent testing showing CIV-Flex blocks viruses 27 nm and larger, but states this does not mean covers prevent infection. Follow your facility's probe reprocessing protocol as well.
How should gel be stored in Gulf heat?
Parker specifies a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep stock in air-conditioned stores, and discard refilled dispenser bottles according to facility policy; Parker recommends within one month.
