Questions
Is Celox PPH available in the UAE and the GCC?
No. The manufacturer has stopped supplying Celox PPH, so KGG does not source it. We can help you review currently available postpartum haemorrhage products, supplied subject to registration in each destination country in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.
How do I get a price?
Celox PPH cannot be quoted. Use Request a quote to tell us your postpartum haemorrhage requirement and we will reply with available alternatives, lead times and documents for your country.
Why was it withdrawn?
Medtrade issued a field safety notice in 2025. Germany's BfArM received serious incident reports, including visual and hearing disturbances; a causal link has not been established. BfArM states the manufacturer cited the current WHO postpartum haemorrhage recommendation in deciding to stop supply.
Can other Celox gauzes be used instead?
Other Celox gauzes remain on the market, but German obstetric societies note that their use in obstetrics is off-label and should be judged case by case.
We still hold stock. What should we do?
Follow the manufacturer's field safety notice and your national regulator's guidance, and contact Medtrade or its local representative for instructions.
