Sunrise
One sensor. One night.
Sunrise measures the small jaw movements that reflect the brain's drive to keep the upper airway open. The patient sticks the sensor to the chin, pairs it with the Sunrise smartphone app and sleeps at home; the night is analysed automatically and a report with the Sunrise AHI, respiratory effort, sleep stages and head position goes to the clinician. It is an aid in the evaluation of obstructive sleep apnoea in adults.
Key specifications
Why the Sunrise
Measured at the jaw
Jaw muscles respond to the brain's breathing drive, so mandibular movement reveals respiratory effort and events without belts, cannula or wires.
Patient-applied at home
The kit is delivered to the patient, who sticks the sensor on the chin, pairs it with the app and sleeps normally. No technician visit is needed.
Report the next morning
Data are analysed automatically and a ready-to-read report with Sunrise AHI, sleep stages and position reaches the clinician after the night.
Three sensor generations
From the 3 g single-use sensor to Sunrise Air with oximetry, airflow, snore microphone and a rechargeable battery, all read by the same software.
Where it is used
Sleep, pulmonology, ENT and dental sleep practices, primary care and employer or insurer screening programmes, with testing in the patient's home.
In the box

Questions
Is the Sunrise home sleep test available in the UAE and the GCC?

How do I get a price?
Add the Sunrise test to your quote list or use Request a quote. We reply with pricing, lead time and the documents for your country, and for multi-night packs.
Does one night give a reliable result?
Sunrise says one night is enough for most people, and offers packs of two or three sensors for patients who want several nights. Results are interpreted by a healthcare provider.
Does it replace polysomnography?
It is an aid in the evaluation of obstructive sleep apnoea at home. Sunrise cites a 400-patient study against polysomnography; complex cases still need full PSG in a sleep lab.
What does the patient need?
A charged iOS or Android smartphone with internet access and the free Sunrise app. Bearded users should shave closely or use the extra adhesive strips.
Which sensor will I receive?
Sunrise has three sensor generations: the 3 g single-use sensor, sensor 2 with oximetry and the rechargeable Sunrise Air. We confirm which version is available for your country with the quotation.
