NightOwl
Sleep testing at a fingertip.
NightOwl is a single small sensor worn on the patient's index finger overnight. Red and infrared light and an accelerometer record PPG-derived peripheral arterial tone, oxygen saturation, pulse rate and movement; data upload each morning through the patient's smartphone to a cloud portal, where an algorithm validated against polysomnography autoscores the study. One device records up to 10 nights, so internight variability can be assessed, and the patient keeps and disposes of it rather than returning it.
Key specifications
Why the NightOwl
One small sensor
NightOwl replaces belts, cannulas and chest leads with a single sensor on the index finger, which keeps set-up simple for patients at home.
Up to 10 nights
Multinight recording captures night-to-night variability in sleep apnoea instead of relying on a single night.
Autoscored in the cloud
Data upload every morning and are scored automatically by an algorithm validated against polysomnography, with editable reports in the provider portal.
Nothing to send back
The device is fully disposable and single-patient, so there is no return shipping, reprocessing or device tracking between patients.
Fits the sleep workflow
Integrates with ResMed's Somnoware sleep lab management software, and the myAir app shows patients how to apply and use the sensor.
Where it is used
Sleep clinics, respiratory and ENT practices and home-testing programmes evaluating adults suspected of obstructive sleep apnoea, in the home or clinical setting.

Questions
Is the NightOwl available in the UAE and the GCC?
KGG sources NightOwl on request for sleep clinics and hospitals in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman. It is supplied subject to registration in each destination country, and availability, including access to the cloud portal in your country, is confirmed with each quotation.
How do I get a price?
Add NightOwl to your quote list or use Request a quote. We reply with pricing, lead time and the documents for your country.
How does it compare with a polysomnography study?
NightOwl is a home sleep apnoea test that estimates the apnoea-hypopnoea index from peripheral arterial tone, oximetry and movement. It does not record EEG, so it does not replace in-lab polysomnography where a full sleep study is clinically needed.
Who can use it?
Adults suspected of sleep apnoea, on the prescription and under the direction of a healthcare professional, in the home or clinical setting.
Does the patient need a smartphone?
Yes. The companion app uploads results each morning over Wi-Fi or mobile data and shows the patient how to apply the sensor. Results then appear, autoscored, in the provider portal.
Can one device be used for several patients?
No. NightOwl is single-patient and fully disposable; each patient receives a new device, which records up to 10 nights.
