Nox Medical
The sleep lab, at home.
The Nox T3s records breathing, snoring, position, activity and oximetry through the night on a single AA battery, with calibrated RIP flow as a backup if the nasal cannula is lost. Two integrated bipolar channels add EKG, EMG or EEG when a study needs more. Noxturnal software scores the data automatically, and outside the US the Nox BodySleep algorithm estimates sleep time and REM, NREM and wake from respiratory signals.
Key specifications
Why the Nox T3s
Small, light, overnight
68 g and 68 × 62 × 26 mm, clipped between the Nox RIP belts. One AA battery records for 24 hours, enough for a full night with margin.
Flow with a backup
Calibrated RIP flow from the thorax and abdomen belts can stand in for the nasal cannula signal if it drops out or the patient cannot tolerate it.
More than apnoea
Two high-resolution bipolar channels add EKG for cardiac signal or EMG for periodic limb movements and bruxism-related events when a study needs them.
Sleep time without EEG
Outside the US, Nox BodySleep uses RIP and actigraphy to classify 30-second epochs into REM, NREM and wake, giving a better estimate of sleep time.
Where it is used
Sleep centres, pulmonology and ENT clinics, hospitals and the patient's own home, for adults and children from 2 years.

How is the T3s different from the original Nox T3?
The T3s keeps the T3 concept but refines Nox RIP technology to 200 Hz sampling, moves to Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy for longer battery life, adds 4 GB storage and USB-C, and is 68 g without battery.
Can it be used for children?
Yes. Nox Medical states the T3s is intended for patients from 2 years of age, and paediatric oximeter probes are available as accessories.
What software do I need?
Noxturnal, Nox Medical's analysis software for Windows. It configures the recorder, downloads studies over USB and runs automated respiratory scoring for review by the sleep specialist.
Is it disposable?
No. The recorder is reusable and battery-powered; cannulas and some sensors are single-use consumables. Follow Nox Medical's cleaning instructions between patients.
