Poskom
X-ray, in two hands.
The AirRay-mini packs the X-ray tube, high-frequency inverter generator, battery and controls into a camera-sized handheld unit with a touchscreen. It produces X-rays at user-selected kV, mA and exposure time, and is used with a separately cleared flat-panel detector or digital radiography system, which forms the image. The 90 kV models reach 500 W and the 80 kV models 420 W. In the USA it is cleared for diagnostic X-rays of the extremities in adults by trained professionals.
Key specifications
Why the AirRay-mini
Camera-sized X-ray
Generator, tube, battery and controls sit in one 249 × 194 × 194 mm handheld unit with a touchscreen, so X-ray can go to the patient rather than the other way round.
Two power classes
The 90 kV models deliver up to 500 W at 5–10 mA; the 80 kV models deliver up to 420 W at 5–8 mA, both with an inverter generator for stable output.
Battery or mains
An internal 22.2 V battery runs the unit without a power outlet, and it also operates from AC mains at 100–240 V.
Pairs with digital detectors
AirRay-mini is the X-ray source only. Images come from a separately cleared flat-panel detector or DR system, available from Poskom as the AirRay-mini System with stand and bag.
Where it is used
Extremity imaging in clinics, orthopaedic and sports medicine settings, home and mobile care, and field medicine, within each country's radiation-safety rules.
In the box

Clearance & compliance
FDA 510(k) cleared K253244 (23 Feb 2026; AirRay-mini 80A, 90A, 80F, 90F); 21 CFR 892.1720 mobile X-ray system, Class II, product code IZL; FDA-listed by POSKOM Co., Ltd. · MFDS approved (Korea), ISO 13485:2016 (Poskom). Supplied subject to registration in each destination country (MOHAP, DoH, DHA, SFDA or the equivalent authority). Certificates, declarations of conformity, IFUs and registration documents are provided with every quotation. Specifications are indicative and subject to manufacturer change.

Questions
Is the AirRay-mini available in the UAE and the GCC?
KGG sources the AirRay-mini on request for licensed healthcare facilities in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, supplied subject to device registration and radiation licensing in each destination country. Availability is confirmed with each quotation.
How do I get a price?
Add it to your quote list or use Request a quote. We reply with pricing, lead time and the documents for your country, and can quote the generator alone or as a system with detector and stand.
Does it produce images on its own?
No. The AirRay-mini is an X-ray generator. You need a compatible digital detector or DR system to capture the image; Poskom offers it as the AirRay-mini System, or it can be paired with a detector you already use.
What can it be used to image?
Its FDA clearance covers diagnostic X-rays of the extremities in adult patients, by qualified and trained professionals. It is not intended for mammography. Other uses depend on each country's approval.
What licences are needed in the Gulf?
As an X-ray source it needs radiation licensing in addition to device registration: in the UAE from the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR), and from the national radiation regulator in each other GCC country, with trained operators and shielding rules.
What is the difference between the 80 and 90 models?
The number is the maximum tube voltage. The 90 kV models reach 500 W at 5–10 mA; the 80 kV models reach 420 W at 5–8 mA with slightly more filtration.
