MyoPro
Your signal. Your arm moves.
MyoPro reads faint electromyography (EMG) signals through dry sensors on the skin and drives small motors that move the elbow and, on grasp models, the hand as the wearer intends. There are no implants and no electrical stimulation. Each brace is custom fabricated and fitted by an orthotist, and is worn during daily tasks such as reaching, lifting and grasping. The current MyoPro 2x adds colour-coded straps for easier donning and MyConfig software for EMG adjustment.
Key specifications
Why the MyoPro
Power steering for the arm
Sensors pick up the wearer's own muscle signals and motors amplify the movement, so the person stays in control of the elbow and hand.
Elbow and grasp
Motion W powers the elbow with a positionable wrist; Motion G adds a powered three-jaw-chuck grasp for picking up and releasing objects.
Built for one arm
Each brace is custom fabricated from the user's measurements and fitted by an orthotist, with colours and patterns chosen by the wearer.
Easier to put on
The MyoPro 2x adds colour-coded tabs and rings, easy-tighten straps and a numbered alignment system, with many users learning one-handed donning.
No implants, no stimulation
Dry EMG sensors read signals through the skin. The device moves the limb with motors and does not stimulate nerves or muscles.
Where it is used
Neurorehabilitation and stroke services, orthotics and prosthetics clinics, spinal cord and brachial plexus programmes, and daily use at home and work.
