Lilium
One hand. One button.
Lilium one combines the probe and the main unit in one 180 g body. The user places it above the pubic bone, follows the row of position marks on the screen and presses a single button; the device estimates bladder volume and shows the number. It uses A-mode ultrasound, which calculates volume from echo distances rather than building an image. Lilium Otsuka designed it for quick single checks such as post-void residual, alongside its continuous-monitoring Lilium devices.
Key specifications
Why the Lilium one
Measured in seconds
Place, align with the position marks, press once. Lilium Otsuka gives a measurement time of about 5 seconds, with the result shown as a number in millilitres.
Truly one-handed
Probe and display are a single 180 g unit, so there is no cable, cart or separate console to manage at the bedside.
Simple by design
A-mode measurement uses fewer sensors than imaging scanners and calculates volume from echo distances, which keeps the device small and easy to learn.
For continence care
Quick checks of bladder volume and post-void residual help teams decide on catheterisation and toileting, part of routine urinary care.
Where it is used
Hospital wards, urology and rehabilitation units, nursing and long-term care homes, home-visit nursing and clinics.
In the box
Lilium one main unit, dedicated charger (charging stand) and ultrasound gel, as the Japanese kit (Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory). Export configuration and gel are confirmed with the quotation.

How do I get a price?
Add it to your quote list or use Request a quote. We reply with pricing, lead time and the documents for your country.
How is it different from an imaging bladder scanner?
Lilium one uses A-mode ultrasound and shows a volume number, not an image. It is smaller and simpler than imaging scanners such as 3D B-mode devices, which show the bladder outline for aiming and review.
What is the difference between Lilium one and the Lilium a-200E?
Lilium one is a handheld device for single, on-demand measurements. The a-200E is worn on the abdomen and measures repeatedly, graphs filling and alerts at a set volume.
Can it be used in Gulf heat?
Lilium Otsuka gives an operating range of 5–38 °C and storage of −20 to 60 °C. Store and use it indoors in air-conditioned areas, not in vehicles in summer.
Who should not be measured?
For the related a-200E, the FDA summary excludes pregnant patients, infants, patients with ascites and unhealed lower abdominal wounds. We supply the Lilium one IFU with the quotation for its exact contraindications.
