Zio
Fourteen days. One patch.
The Zio monitor records the ECG continuously for up to 14 days from a small adhesive patch, with no wires, battery changes or adhesive changes during wear. After wear, iRhythm combines its FDA-cleared deep-learned algorithm with review by qualified cardiac technicians to produce the end-of-wear report. Zio AT adds wear-time transmissions through a gateway for mobile cardiac telemetry in the US.
Key specifications
Why the Zio monitor
Smaller, lighter patch
Zio monitor weighs 10 g and is 23% thinner and 62% lighter than Zio XT, with a pliable, breathable design patients wear through daily life.
Continuous, uninterrupted
It records every heartbeat for up to 14 days with no wires or battery changes. iRhythm reports 99% patient compliance with prescribed wear times.
AI with human review
iRhythm's FDA-cleared deep-learned algorithm analyses the full recording, and qualified cardiac technicians review it before the end-of-wear report reaches the physician.
Telemetry when needed
Zio AT sends wear-time transmissions through a gateway for mobile cardiac telemetry in the US. It is not for critical-care patients or those needing real-time monitoring.
Where it is used
Cardiology and primary-care services that need long-term continuous ECG monitoring to help identify and diagnose cardiac arrhythmias.
In the box
Each prescription uses one single-use Zio monitor patch (Zio AT adds a gateway); iRhythm's analysis and end-of-wear report are part of the Zio service. Kit contents and service terms are confirmed with the quotation.

What is the difference between Zio monitor, Zio XT and Zio AT?
Zio monitor is the current long-term continuous monitor, smaller and lighter than the earlier Zio XT. Zio AT adds wear-time transmissions through a gateway for mobile cardiac telemetry and is listed for the US only.
Can patients shower while wearing it?
iRhythm describes the housing as waterproof but says the device should not be submerged; patients should keep it above water when bathing.
Who analyses the recording?
iRhythm processes each recording with its FDA-cleared deep-learned algorithm, and qualified cardiac technicians review it before the end-of-wear report is issued to the prescribing physician.
Is Zio AT suitable for high-risk patients?
No. iRhythm states Zio AT is contraindicated for critical-care patients and should not be used where symptomatic episodes could cause immediate danger; real-time or in-patient monitoring should be used instead.
