GCE
Pulse or continuous. Your choice.
The GCE Zen-O gives two kinds of oxygen therapy in one unit: pulse dose in settings 1.0 to 6.0 and continuous flow from 0.5 to 2.0 L/min, at 87–96% purity. Rate Responsive Therapy raises the oxygen delivered when the breathing rate rises, Eco mode switches to a fixed minute volume to save battery, and Auto mode pulses at 18 breaths a minute if no breath is detected. It takes one or two 8-cell batteries, runs from AC or a vehicle outlet, rolls on a pull cart, and its sieve beds can be changed by the provider in minutes.
Key specifications
Why the Zen-O
Two modes in one unit
Pulse dose for daytime activity and continuous flow up to 2 L/min, so patients can switch as their prescription allows without changing device.
Responds to effort
Rate Responsive Therapy increases the oxygen delivered when the breathing rate rises, for example on stairs. Eco mode trades this for longer battery life.
A safety net
If no breath is detected for 60 seconds, Auto mode delivers pulses at 18 breaths a minute so the user keeps receiving some oxygen if the cannula slips.
Easy to service
Sieve beds can be replaced by most homecare providers in under five minutes, without returning the unit to a service centre.
Where it is used
Prescribed supplemental oxygen for adults with chronic lung disease at home, outdoors, in the car and on board aircraft.
