Oxymizer
Less oxygen. Same saturation.
Oxymizer cannulas hold oxygen in a small reservoir, 20 ml in the Mustache style under the nose and 40 ml in the Pendant chamber worn on the chest, and release it at the very start of inhalation. Drive states this can cut the flow needed for a target saturation by 50–75%, up to a 4:1 saving, so cylinders and portable systems last longer. It has no batteries or electronics and works with cylinders, concentrators and liquid oxygen on continuous flow up to 15 l/min.
Key specifications
Why the Oxymizer
Oxygen at the right moment
Oxygen that would be wasted during exhalation fills the reservoir. A membrane releases it as a bolus at the start of inhalation, when it does most good.
Supplies that last longer
Drive states 1 l/min via Oxymizer is equivalent to about 3 l/min by standard cannula, so cylinders and portable systems last longer and a 5 l/min concentrator can reach the equivalent of 7.5 l/min.
Two ways to wear it
The Mustache style places the reservoir under the nose. The Pendant hides its reservoir in a chamber that rests on the chest under clothing.
Simple and disposable
No electronics, batteries or flow controls. It eliminates the need for humidification in most patients and lets patients eat, drink and talk.
Where it is used
Home oxygen, hospital wards, hospice and long-term care, for nose-breathing patients on continuous-flow oxygen prescribed by a clinician.

Questions
Is the Oxymizer available in the UAE and the GCC?
KGG sources the Oxymizer Pendant and Mustache on request for hospitals, home-care providers and oxygen suppliers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, supplied subject to registration in each destination country. Availability is confirmed with each quotation.
Pendant or Mustache: which should we order?
Both use the same reservoir principle. The Mustache (20 ml) sits under the nose and patients often find it more comfortable; the Pendant (40 ml) is less conspicuous because the chamber can be worn under clothing. Many patients use both.
Can it be used with a portable oxygen concentrator on pulse mode?
No. Oxymizer is for continuous-flow oxygen only. Drive does not recommend combining it with pulse-dose or other conserving devices.
How often should it be replaced?
Drive recommends replacement after about three weeks of continuous use, or sooner for hygiene. Part-time users may extend this, provided the device stays clean and the plastic flexible.
Is it suitable during sleep or for mouth breathers?
Drive does not recommend it for unmonitored sleeping patients, as it may dislodge, and it does not work well for mouth breathers. It is not for use with a tracheostomy.
