Kosmos
Cart-class imaging. Hand-carried.
Kosmos pairs wired EchoNous probes with an Apple iPad, a supported Android tablet or the Kosmos Link hub. The Torso-One phased array (1.5–4.5 MHz) covers cardiac, lung, abdominal and OB/GYN scanning with colour, PW, CW and tissue Doppler, and the Lexsa linear probe (4–11 MHz, 64/128 channels) handles vascular, nerve, MSK, lung and needle guidance. AI tools assist with ejection fraction, view labelling, Doppler gate placement and bladder volume. Probes are IP67 rated and survive a 1 m drop.
Key specifications
Why the Kosmos
Two probes, whole patient
Torso-One images the heart, lungs and abdomen with CW, PW and tissue Doppler; Lexsa adds high-frequency linear imaging for vessels, nerves, joints and needle guidance.
AI at the bedside
AI-assisted EF calculates ejection fraction and stroke volume, AI FAST labels anatomy and views, and Auto Doppler places the sample gate, helping less experienced users reach a usable study.
Wired on purpose
Probes connect by cable, so there is no probe battery to charge or wireless lag. Torso NXT adds a field-replaceable, screw-locking cable that biomedical teams can change on site.
Built for the ward
IP67 probes survive a 1 m drop and are validated for cleaning plus intermediate- and high-level disinfection, including systems such as trophon 2 for vascular-access set-ups.
Your screen, your set-up
Run Kosmos on an iPad in a carrying case, on a medical-grade stand, through the Kosmos Link multi-probe hub, or on a supported Android tablet.
Where it is used
Emergency medicine, intensive care, cardiology and internal medicine, anaesthesia and vascular access teams, hospital wards and medical schools.

Questions
Is the Kosmos available in the UAE and the GCC?
KGG sources EchoNous Kosmos probes and configurations on request for hospitals, clinics, emergency services and medical schools in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, supplied subject to registration in each destination country. Availability is confirmed with each quotation.
How do I get a price?
Add it to your quote list or use Request a quote. We reply with pricing, lead time and the documents for your country for the probes and configuration you need, such as Kosmos Mobile, Kosmos Plus or Kosmos Link.
Which probe do I need?
Torso-One (or the new Torso NXT) for cardiac, lung, abdominal and OB/GYN scanning to 30 cm. Lexsa for vascular access, nerve blocks, MSK and lung surface imaging to 10 cm. Many departments take both.
What is Torso NXT?
Torso NXT is EchoNous' next-generation phased-array probe, launched in the US on 19 Oct 2026. It is smaller, has a 360° grip and a field-replaceable cable, and runs the same AI apps. International availability follows local clearances; existing Torso-One owners can upgrade.
Does it work on iPad and Android?
Yes. Kosmos runs on supported Apple iPads (Kosmos Mobile and Plus) and on supported Android tablets (FDA K242321). Ask for the current compatibility list before buying a tablet locally.
Was there a recall?
In May 2024 EchoNous corrected Kosmos iOS software 1.0, 2.1 and 2.2 because measurements made on DICOM-exported images in third-party PACS could be inaccurate. Software 2.1.4.53 fixes it; KGG supplies current software.
