Philips
Philips imaging. Pocket-sized.
Lumify turns a compatible Android or Apple phone or tablet into a Philips ultrasound system. The processing is built into each USB transducer: the S4-1 phased array for cardiac, lung, abdomen and FAST, the L12-4 linear for vascular, MSK, soft tissue and ocular work, and the C5-2 curved array for deeper abdominal and OB/GYN scanning. All three offer 2D, colour and PW Doppler and M-mode, with Philips SonoCT, xRes and harmonic imaging. Auto B-line quantification, Auto EF on the S4-1 and Reacts tele-ultrasound are built in.
Key specifications
Why the Lumify
Three Philips transducers
Phased, linear and curved arrays cover cardiac, lung, vascular, MSK, abdominal, OB/GYN and ocular exams, with all imaging modes on every transducer.
Philips image quality
Tissue harmonic imaging, SonoCT beam steering and xRes processing come from Philips cart-based systems and are built into the transducer.
AI that saves steps
Auto B-line Quantification supports lung fluid assessment in real time; Auto EF calculates ejection fraction from a single apical 4-chamber view on the S4-1.
Bring an expert in
Integrated Reacts tele-ultrasound streams live images with two-way video and audio for remote guidance and supervision.

Add it to your quote list or use Request a quote. Tell us which transducers you need and whether you will use Android or Apple, and we reply with pricing, lead time and the documents for your country.
Which transducer should I choose?
S4-1 for cardiac, lung and FAST through small windows; L12-4 for vascular access, MSK, soft tissue, superficial and ocular scans; C5-2 for deep abdominal and OB/GYN imaging. Many departments start with one and add others later.
Does it work with my phone or tablet?
Only devices on Philips's compatibility list are supported. Most are USB-C Android devices; Apple iPhones and iPads need the Lumify Power Module. We confirm the current list with your quotation.
Are there any recent safety notices?
Yes. Philips issued field corrections in 2025–2026 on Apple iOS 18 compatibility, transducer useful-life labelling and transducer re-registration offline. We supply units with current software and the latest notices.
Is there a rugged version for ambulances?
Philips offers a military-grade configuration with an IP67 waterproof rating (Lumify Rugged System Bundle), not available in all regions. The standard transducers are shock- and vibration-tested.
