Liverscan
Liver stiffness and fat. One probe.
Liverscan measures 50 Hz shear wave speed and liver stiffness by transient elastography, and a 3.5 MHz ultrasound attenuation value (MAP) for liver fat, in one acquisition. A real-time B-mode image from the same wireless probe shows the operator where each measurement is taken, so large vessels and cysts can be avoided. Liverscan C pairs the probe with a portable touchscreen workstation in a carry case; Liverscan Mobile runs the same probe from software on a compatible laptop or tablet. Results are shown as medians with IQR/median ratio.
Key specifications
Why the Liverscan
Stiffness and fat together
One acquisition gives liver stiffness (kPa) for fibrosis assessment and the MAP attenuation value (dB/m) for fat, reported as medians with IQR.
See before you measure
Real-time B-mode guidance from the same probe shows the liver window, so the operator can steer the measurement away from vessels and cysts instead of sampling blind.
Fewer acquisitions
Eieling reports reliable results from 4 valid measurements, with AI quality checks that reject invalid shots automatically.
Fully wireless
No probe cable and about 4 hours of battery, so the system can go to the bedside, a screening van or a remote clinic.
Two ways to deploy
Liverscan C comes as a self-contained workstation in a carry case; Liverscan Mobile installs the software on a compatible laptop or tablet.
Where it is used
Hepatology and gastroenterology clinics, primary care and private clinics, health-screening and imaging centres, weight-management programmes and community outreach.

Questions
Is the Liverscan available in the UAE and the GCC?
KGG sources Liverscan C and Liverscan Mobile on request for hospitals, clinics and screening programmes in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, supplied subject to registration in each destination country. Availability is confirmed with each quotation.
How do I get a price?
Add it to your quote list or use Request a quote. We reply with pricing, lead time and the documents for your country, and confirm which configuration suits your setting.
What is the difference between Liverscan C and Liverscan Mobile?
Both use the same LS01 probe and the same measurements. Liverscan C adds a dedicated touchscreen workstation with pre-installed software in a carry case; Liverscan Mobile installs the software on a compatible laptop or Surface-type tablet.
What does MAP measure?
MAP (Mobile Attenuation Parameter) is the ultrasound attenuation coefficient at 3.5 MHz, 100–400 dB/m, used alongside liver stiffness as an aid to assessing liver fat. Results support, and do not replace, an overall clinical assessment of the liver.
Is it a replacement for liver biopsy?
No. FDA clears it as an aid to diagnosis and monitoring of adult patients with liver disease, as part of an overall assessment of the liver. Decisions on biopsy remain with the treating clinician.
Who can operate it?
Eieling requires operators to be trained under local regulations and to receive additional training from Eieling or its authorised distributor. B-mode guidance and AI quality checks are designed to shorten the learning curve.
