The Beurer IH 55 nebulises liquid medication through a mesh vibrating at 100 kHz, at more than 0.25 mL per minute, for short and quiet inhalation sessions. It runs on four AA batteries or the supplied mains part, switches itself off when the medication runs out, and has a self-cleaning function for the atomiser. Adult and child masks and a mouthpiece are included, and Beurer gives a 5-year guarantee for domestic use.

Can it be used in hospitals or clinics?
No. Beurer designs the IH 55 for self-treatment at home and states it is not intended for commercial or clinical use.
Which medications can it nebulise?
Liquid medications with a viscosity below 3, as prescribed by a doctor. Oils, including essential oils, and powdered medication must not be used.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes, with supervision. A child mask is included, and Beurer describes the IH 55 as ideal for children and travelling.
